One of the questions we are most frequently asked is “how can you help me find the right care?”
Our response is that, at Care Home Finder, we have over 60 years combined experience of care, from nursing or residential care homes, dementia care, through domiciliary/home care and assisted living, to Extra and Close Care.
What this means is that we have a deep understanding of all aspects of care and the steps that you will need to go through. We can help you with the whole process, or simply assist you with key stages, giving you as little, or as much support as you need.
There are aspects of the search for, and selection of, the right care which are unfamiliar to most people and the need frequently arises with little, or no warning. This means that you are faced with a situation you have no experience of, at what is already a very stressful time.
The first step is to establish exactly what type of care is needed and, if this hasn’t already been assessed, we can guide you through what you need to do.
Our support covers all types of care and, once the care need has been assessed, we can prepare an initial list of appropriate care providers from our database, qualify them and present you with a short list of the most suitable ones.
When we qualify care providers, we speak directly with each one and ask key questions, such as what facilities a home has, activities, vacancies/availability of care, continuity of carers in a home care situation, and fee rates. We also ask any specific questions that you may have.
Once we have completed our research, we produce a report for you, which contains all the information you should need to make an informed decision.
We can also help you through all the next steps you need to take, including how to carry out your visits to, or meetings with the care teams, with points to look out for and questions to ask, so that you gain as much information as possible. This is a very important stage in the process, because it helps you to identify the right setting, or provider, to ensure the right care.
We can help you find the right care and we are very happy to have an initial chat with you, without obligation, so please do give us a call on 0345 853 0300.
